the following is a chronicle of my efforts to protect the natural environments that inspire and inform my work. from creating to packaging to donating a portion of print sales to amazing organizations, i strive to help preserve the places that have enriched my life. please read on to see how i am using my prints to this end.
creating and packaging
all lumber used to stretch screen prints on is certified by the forest stewardship council, an independent, non-governmental, not for profit organization established to promote the responsible management of the world's forests. fsc certified lumber is pulled from well-managed forests.
if you order a print online or pick one up at a show, you'll notice a beat-up piece of corrugated cardboard lining the back. while many supplies exist to back prints for purchase, i reuse cardboard whenever possible.

giving back
in an effort to support groups who are protecting the environments that supply me with constant inspiration and joy, i am donating a portion of my profits for print sales on etsy to the following organizations.
purchase petoskey stones or sleeping bear dunes and $1 goes to the alliance for the great lakes, a wonderful organization that participates in a whole variety of activities in order to help preserve the largest freshwater system on earth.
purchase hiawatha birches or log slice prints, and $1 goes to global releaf of michigan, a group working tirelessly to plant trees in the mitten state.
